Lonely. That's how it felt when Damien Pierce returned to Big Timber, Montana. It had been his childhood home until the day he was hit by a speeding car only to learn he wasn't badly hurt. The experience landed him the label of the town freakshow.

Following the death of his foster mom, Damien soon disconnected from the world around him. That was at least, until he met her. She looked human but something about made her appear otherworldly to him. He knew he shouldn't but he wanted her. He would do anything to get to know her. To have her.

Jillian Styles was immortal. Cursed by a dark god never to find rest. A shifter capable of taking the form of a beautiful wolf. She had searched for her lover's reincarnated soul for centuries only to find he was nowhere to be found. When she meets Damien, her world is turned upside down. She falls in love with him instantly and begins to pursue him.

However, Damien soon learns the darker part of Jill's world. He finds himself on the hit list of the same vampire Lord responsible for killing Jill's lover and reigniting the flames of an old war. His daughter desires Damien and vows to have him at any cost.

With the help of Alexander Kain, the mysterious wolf shifting soldier, Damien will learn what he thought he knew was only tip of the paranormal iceberg. He soon finds himself in the eyes of a vindictive and rage-filled dark god.

If you like hot lycanthrope guys, overly possessive vampire chicks, vindictive gods, strong female leads and some hot sex scenes, this book is for you.

Review

Blaise Ramsay has done a great job with creating characters the reader will feel strongly about. Maybe not always a good kind of strong, but evoking emotion in the reader is good regardless.

The characters are very well developed, complex, and multi dimensional which allows the reader to become invested.

Ramsay's writing style is very direct. There is no skirting around things.

I enjoyed the Romance aspect. These characters had a connection that felt real. I liked the way it developed and didn't feel forced.

The overall flow of the novel was very well executed. The pacing was great, it didn't feel rushed or like it dragged. It had the perfect flow.

Review

There are a lot of moving parts to this novel and it did take me a bit to settle in and fully understand everything that was going on. That being said, this is a very active novel. You wont want to put it down. Even when you aren't quite sure what is going on, you will want to keep flipping pages to unravel all of the mysteries.

My favorite part of this novel was the suspense element. I think it really gave the novel another layer that sets it apart from Paranormal and Fantasy novels. There were many surprises and the way that Haris Orkin was able to keep the pacing just right really helps everything flow naturally.

On top of all of that, there is a very thick layer of humor laced throughout the novel. I always feel like the addition of wit and humor in a story like this helps to cut the tension a bit.

Book Tour & Book Review: By Ways Unseen by @DanielDydek #review #giveaway #fantasy

 photo ByWaysUnseen eBook cover_zpswjmagawa.jpg
Epic Fantasy
Date Published: July 12, 2018

The Provinces are falling. From the south, the immortal Knights of Galessern raid. From the north, the trees of the Kalen Woods have awoken, and are hungry for their second city. And from the east, Haydren Loren flees a childhood bully whose hate is now fully grown, and capable of murdering his way to becoming the Earl.

Haydren might find safety in the west. Or, he may find himself suddenly forced on a suicidal mission: face and defeat Lasserain, the strongest mage history has ever seen.

His quest is joined by a medley of friends foolish enough to think they might succeed: Geoffrey, a former knight of Rinc Na who betrayed his country and friends, and now seeks forgiveness through this final, desperate act; Sarah, a sorceress who will do anything to prove she is worthy; and Pladt, the famed archer whose only wish is to travel as far and wide as his name.

The God of All only knows the ways they must go - He, and a voice in Haydren’s head that is constantly growing louder.

Insanity. Capture. Death. All roads seem doomed for failure. But they must quickly choose a path, for Lasserain’s full fury is descending, and no one else has been able to stop it.

My Thoughts

Daniel Dydek has written a descriptive novel that does a great job of pulling the reader into the world he has created.

The flow of the novel was well executed and everything as far as pacing went felt smooth.

I enjoyed getting to know the characters both primary and secondary. They all felt like they had their own purpose and had depth that made me care about them.

A wonderful Fantasy novel!

Review

Sometimes I get to a point where I feel bogged down in a certain genre and need a change. That is when a Mystery is always my go-to. I feel like they make me think and help get my mind off of things more than any other genre.

There is a great balance between the Suspense and Mystery. I found myself guessing the whole way through, and being wrong quite a bit.

The plot was fast paced and flowed smoothly and the characters were those who I really liked reading about. They were interesting and compelling.

*****WARNING*****
If you are easily offended, then this is NOT the book for you. Please put it down and back away slowly. However, if you have a warped sense of humor, please read on.

In the town of Lost Hope, Florida reside two heroes unlike any others. These champions of justice go by the names of Snafu Fubar and General Nuisance. Nightly they patrol their fine city to protect it from evil's grasp. And by 'patrol' we mean they sit on a porch, appropriately nicknamed 'The Fucking Nuisance Cave', drinking beers, smoking cigars, and talking about sex.

Review

Fun and fresh! I loved the wit and humor Bob Dixon brought to his book and characters. It is not a cookie cutter story by any means. It is raunchy and out there, but so hilarious.

This was just an overall feel good read perfect for anyone in need of a laugh or many who doesn't want to have to think or feel emotions while reading. A great change of pace.

Review

I was completely immersed in this story from the get-go.

The characters were probably my favorite part. I really enjoyed each of their stories. I didn't feel like anyone was out of place or didn't fit.

The plot was smooth and I liked the way it flowed from chapter to chapter.  The romance had a sweet build up that led into multiple steamy moments.

And might I add a gorgeous cover?

Review

Superb writing from Robert Downs and a action packed story. There were a lot of moving a parts to this one and I really liked the originality that Downs brought.

This novel was very vivid in the descriptions, the writing really jumped off the pages and into my head. Suspense and Mystery laced throughout.

I felt like I got a solid understanding of the characters in the story. There was definitely a lot of action going on that will have readers flipping pages furiously.

Can he put together the series of seemingly unrelated events that led to his incarceration in a desert hellhole, and escape to take revenge on those who put him there before he loses his life?

Review

I think the thing that struck me the most with this novel was the fact that G&R Robson were able to connect me to their characters from the get go. It really added investment in the story and what happened to the characters.

The plot was very well paced and there were no aspects that I was able to out-rightly predict.

This novel is jam packed with shocks and twists that will have you immersed in the story The Robson's have created.
